Who can apply and where is Table for Two available?
Applications are open to adults aged 18 and over who live in Gauteng, are genuinely available to date and are looking for a meaningful relationship. Our matchmaking service begins in Johannesburg, Midrand, Centurion, Pretoria and surrounding Gauteng areas.
Is Table for Two a dating app or a matchmaking service?
Table for Two is a curated dating and matchmaking service, not an open catalogue of profiles. Applications are reviewed, compatibility goes beyond photographs, and members receive a small number of considered introductions designed to lead to safe, comfortable real-world dates.
What does the R499 Founding Membership include?
Founding Membership includes application and profile review, identity and profile verification, considered introductions, a clear reason behind each introduction, mutual-interest and first-date support, and private post-date feedback. It has a three-month initial commitment, billed monthly, and the R499 price is locked for your first six months. Food, drinks and other venue costs are not included unless a specific offer says otherwise.
What happens after the six-month founding period?
Before the founding period ends, we will explain the available continuation options. The standard curated membership is R899 per month. You will receive advance notice before any price change or renewal, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
What is included in Assisted Matchmaking?
Assisted Matchmaking starts from R2,499 per month and is intended for members who want more hands-on support. It can include a personal matching consultation, priority candidate review, more active date coordination and concierge-style support. The exact scope and price are agreed before the service begins.
How are my photographs and personal information shared?
Your application is private and your profile will never appear in a public catalogue. If we believe two members may be compatible, only appropriate profile details and photographs are shared for that introduction. Direct contact details are not released without permission, and we do not sell applicant information.
Does applying guarantee membership or a match?
No. Applications are reviewed for readiness, location, relationship intent and cohort balance. Acceptance does not guarantee an immediate introduction or a particular relationship outcome. We would rather wait for a credible match than make an unsuitable introduction simply to meet a quota.
How many introductions will I receive?
Table for Two prioritises fit over volume, so introductions are not sent according to an artificial weekly quota. Timing depends on the availability of mutually suitable members in your matching pool. The expected cadence for paid membership will be explained clearly before you decide to join.
What happens after two members are mutually interested?
We contact both members privately, confirm that each person is comfortable proceeding and help turn the introduction into a practical next step. This may include agreeing on a suitable public venue, date format, area and time. Personal contact details are only shared with permission.
What happens if there is not a suitable introduction for me yet?
We will keep your preferences and compatibility profile in mind as the founding community grows, but we will not force a match. Before paid membership begins, you will receive clear information about the introduction cadence and the available cancellation or pause arrangements.
How will verification work?
Shortlisted applicants complete a fuller second-stage profile before introductions begin. Identity, current photographs and core profile details are checked to help confirm that each member is genuine and accurately represented. The verification process and privacy information will be shown before any verification documents are submitted.
What can I do if another member makes me feel uncomfortable?
You can decline an introduction, stop contact or report a concern without being required to continue the conversation. Table for Two can pause an introduction, prevent future matching, review the member's conduct and remove people who breach the community standards. Immediate safety concerns should always be reported to the appropriate local authorities.
Are restaurant costs included?
No venue benefit should be assumed unless it is stated for a specific date or membership offer. Members remain responsible for their own food and drinks unless Table for Two confirms otherwise.
When will I be charged?
No payment is taken when you apply. If you are accepted, you will receive the final membership benefits, price, renewal and cancellation terms before choosing whether to join. Nothing is charged without your agreement.
Can I pause or cancel?
Applying does not create a paid contract, and you can decide not to proceed when membership is offered. Paid membership begins with a three-month initial commitment. After that period, membership continues monthly and may be cancelled with 30 days’ notice. We may also offer a pause where your compatible pool is temporarily limited. The membership agreement provided before payment will contain the final rules.
